The Stein Medical Institute
Daniel S. Stein, MD, FACOG has dedicated his medical career to creating and implementing precedents in comprehensive healthcare. Dr. Stein has lectured internationally and is a regular guest on a variety of television programs nationwide. He is widely quoted as an authority on women’s health, intimacy, longevity and aesthetic medicine in popular magazines such as: Redbook, Men’s Health, Glamour and Cosmopolitan. His most recent book publication, Passionate Sex, Discover the Special Power in You, dicusses critical aspects of health and intimacy. The National Consumer Research Council recognized Dr. Stein as one of America’s Top Doctors in 2002–2003 in the fields of Sexual Health and Longevity.
Daniel S. Stein, M.D., F.A.C.O.G. is a nationally recognized specialist in the field of laser surgery. He was a Clinical Associate Professor and a Senior Consultant in Laser Surgery at the University of Florida. Moreover, Dr. Stein is a founding member of the American Board of Laser Surgery and widely published in this field.
Dr. Stein has also been awarded over 12 international patents for his invention, GyneFlex™ -- the first and only medically designed resistance exerciser that makes Kegel Exercises work to strengthen pelvic floor muscles. GyneFlex is FDA approved to treat urinary incontinence, restore vaginal strength and tightness after childbirth, reverse age related vaginal weakness, and enhance female sexual sensitivity, orgasmic intensity and sexual response.

The Stein Women’s Center
Founded in in 1979
The Stein Women’s Center was the nation’s first medical center devoted solely to the comprehensive care of women (one chart, no duplication of lab tests or procedures, one place for all of a woman’s medical needs). Board certified, university trained, upper 1/4 of their class: Ob/Gyn’s, Internists, Radiologists, Reproductive Endocrinologists, Psychologist, and affiliated Cosmetic Surgeons work together as a team.
The first year in association with the affiliated hospital created over 1000% rise in revenues from women patients – accounting for 20% of the 550 doctor hospitals' non-Medicare revenues (1.75 million in 1985). According to John O. Burke in Tampa Bay Magazine:

Dr. Stein negotiated the first capitated healthplan in the State of Florida. This pioneering contract to provide comprehensive women's healthcare affordably was a model program for 22,500 Pinellas County women who paid $1.12 per month flat rate. According to Irwin Silberman, M.D., the insurance plan’s Medical Director, “I have been duly impressed by the conservative and cautious approach regularly exercised by your staff. The Laser Surgery Institute
(the nation’s first outpatient medical laser center)
Founded in 1980
The Laser Surgery Institute published some of the first articles comparing laser to scalpel healing with light, scanning electron microscopy, and transmission of electron microscopy. The Laser Surgery Institute also published the first paper proposing a viral sexually transmitted carcinogen as cause for genital cancer (Transmissible Venereal Neoplasia). The Laser Surgery Institute pioneered Video-Laser Surgery with patient and family viewing of live laser surgery with doctor commentary using 3-chip digital cameras, family viewing rooms, and clip-on wireless microphone through which Dr. Stein explained the meaning of observed problems and reasons for treatment. Upon opening The Laser Surgery Institute, Dr. Stein said: “The advancement of modern medicine toward a computerized high technology future will accomplish the worthy goal of a healthier mankind if applied by highly skilled physicians with caring and compassion for the whole women they treat. The value of technology is derived from the quality of its human context and application.”
The Florida Fertility Institute
Founded in 1982
The Florida Fertility Institute brought in-vitro fertilization and high tech fertility medicine to childless couples in Southeastern United States for the first time. At the Florida Fertility Institute, Dr. Stein invented the Laser Gamete Intra-Fallopian Tubal Transfer Procedure (Laser-GIFT) to successfully treat longstanding and previously incurable infertile couples. The first baby conceived by Dr. Stein’s revolutionary surgery is named Daniel Hausdorf, after Dr. Stein. Described by CBS as a “miracle baby”, his mother had suffered 11 years of infertility and was deemed “hopeless” by other doctors. John Burke said, “Sometimes even a miracle needs a hand” regarding Dr. Stein’s work: “Where miracles and medicine meet and give life to longing.” Stein quoted Kahlil Gibran upon opening the Florida Fertility Institute: “Children are the sons and daughters of life’s longing for itself.”
Women’s Medical Centers of America
President 1984-1989

Women's Medical Centers of America employed 200 physicians, 210 mid-wives and nurse practitioners, and 12 National Medical Directors. Dr. Stein duplicated the comprehensive, compassionate, and integrated care of the old style family practitioner by integrating the expertise of today’s specialists into a network of freestanding women’s medical centers. The Women's Medical Centers of America were modeled after the successful prototype, the Stein Women’s Center, in St. Petersburg, Florida.
The Beverly Hills Women’s Medical Center
Founded in 1992
The Beverly Hills Women's Center was established to provide integrated cosmetic laser surgery and women’s healthcare in a single outpatient setting. At the Beverly Hills Women's Medical Center, Dr. Stein invented the Auxiliary Laser Breast Augmentation Procedure. In this new procedure, laser technology was employed to speed recovery and reduce the rate of implant hardening. This was accomplished by minimizing surgical tissue injury in addition to completely avoiding skin incisions in the breast area.

Expanding on Dr. Stein’s lifelong commitment to comprehensive and integrated healthcare, this prototype medical practice is dedicated to the vision that we can all “Look Great, Live Long, and Love Well” if we take advantage of the vast emerging knowledge which will allow all of us to look and feel younger as we grow older.
At the American Institute for Age and Beauty, Dr. Stein has pioneered: a national physician training center for Sciton Laser (created the non-surgical face lift, protocols for micro-laser facial resurfacing, permanent laser hair reduction, laser wrinkle reduction, laser and IPL Photo-Rejuvenation, and the elimination of age and sun damage), introduced the use of long lasting dermal fillers to eliminate fine lines and wrinkles and change thin lips to plump beautiful lips, and developed Vitacin, a nutriceutical, to stimulate natural growth hormone. He has formulated a simple easy to follow diet known as the “Stein Diet” with recommended nutritional supplementation and exercise.
Dr. Stein pioneered the introduction of Mesotherapy into the United States. Along with Dr. Lionel Bissoon, Dr. Stein trained in Mesotherapy in France and helped popularize this Liposuction alternative in America. He was among the first American Physicians to be certified by the Societe Internationale De Mesotherapie and the American Association of Mesotherapy Specialists. Mesotherapy is a proven medical technique effectively employed by European physicians for over 50 years. After his many experiences with women’s health and a personal journey of discovery in the realm of rejuvenology and nutrition, Dr. Stein founded The Stein Medical Insitute to combine contemporary medicine involving minimally invasive procedures with a holistic and prevention based outlook on health. This novel view of health and wellbeing incorporates the importance of self-image and confidence on overall health.
The Stein Medical Institute has consistently been at the forefront in cosmetic medicine and aesthetics in the greater Tampa Bay area since its door have opened. Procedures like the the Stein Instant Facial Lift, Hi-Definition VASER®, LipoSelection by VASER® and Mesotherapy have brought the institute to local and national fame.

Mission Physicians – Los Angeles: Consistent with his lifelong efforts to make the world a better place, Dr Stein organized the first medical program to ease the misery of the homeless of Los Angeles’ “Urban Campground”. According to the Los Angeles Times' lead Editorial entitled “Helping the Homeless”: “Stein’s visit was beneficial. Not only did it mobilize the local medical community and provide medical care for hundreds of the city’s indigent population, but it also focused need for public involvement.” Mayor Tom Bradley: “The outpouring of assistance from the community has been tremendous…I look forward to working with you and the many other volunteers you have brought together for this worthwhile project.” Milton Greenblatt, M.D., Chief of Psychiatry, UCLA: “You showed what could be done by someone with great energy, leadership ability, and compassion.”
Mission Physicians –Tampa: This center continues upon the ideas that were originated in Los Angeles. The mission provides free medical care for women who have been abused and are without alternatives. Some of the services provided to women through the mission include medical history, complete physical exams, needed diagnostic tests and prescription medications. Dr. Stein's medical practices provided these pro bono services for the women at 'The Spring,' from 2000-2007. He organized free lab tests and medications in association with St Joseph Hospital and Pharmaceutical Specialties, Inc. in Tampa.
